Mrs. Rollande Paquin passed away
Mrs. Rollande Paquin passed away (21 janvier 2010) Dear Cousin,
Your departure reminds us of all the work you have done as president of the Paquin reunion in 1978 at Shawinigan.
Well supported by your late husband, Paul Dessureault, as well as Serge and Danielle, your children, you had taken the lead to inform all of the Mauricie area of the event using the newspaper “Le Nouvelliste, radio stations and television.
It was at this gathering that Brother Pasteur, president and founder of the Famille Paquin Family Association gave up his role to Charles-Henri Paquin, his nephew, to start initiating the process of incorporating the Association.
You organized your region in your own way, which lead other regions to also get organized; Reginald P. looked after the American section, Hélène P. covered Western Canada, Gérard P. looked after the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region supported by Mrs Paquin Charette of Guigues where more than 300 guests were gathered to welcome a group of Paquin visiting the North.
