The spray of wheat, the wood plane and the book symbolize respectively the agricultural activities, the craftmen or professional activities of the Paquin, and the cross which occupies the most honorable position; the inspiration or formal elements of these activities.

The  fleur-de-lis commemorates Old France, the land of origin of our ancestors; the maple leaf, Canada country of adoption.

 

The Motto:

Indicate the practical belief in their material and spiritual values which made the Paquin strong and numerous and which assures them prosperity and a long life.
