Exemplary treasurer

Alexander Paquin is no longer; he was the last of the descendants of the late Samuel Paquin, this great family having kept in the spotlight the name of the Paquin of Deschambault.

Alexandre Paquin is no longer; he was the last of the descendants of the late Samuel Paquin, this great family having maintained in honor the name of the Paquin at Deschambault. 

During the 80s the Association of Paquin Families sought to fill the position of treasurer. No one seemed interested in running. Pushed by his wife Fernande, Alexandre raises his hand. Alexandre was unanimously appointed to this position and he held it  until the end of the Association’s activities in 1998.

Strictly held, the accounting of the Association did not suffer from any flaws and we found no flaws in the books of this accountant by profession. Whether we held our meetings in Deschambault, Manchester, U.S.A., or Winnipeg, Manitoba, Alexandre was there without ever granting himself any privileges.

At the meeting in Saint-Boniface (Winnipeg), the Paquin meeting was held on the return of the organized trip to Western Canada. Alexander did not take part in this trip; he had taken the plane to join us there and as my wife Réjeanne was in a hurry to come back to prepare the wedding of her son, there was exchange of tickets (Plane & Bus) on  a good understanding basis. With Alexandre, nothing is complicated.

It is with great gratitude that we say to you, dear loss, thank you for your dedication to the cause of the PAQUIN.
